The Definitive Collection of Halloween Indie Rock Songs
Thanks to You; What's To Come and Awesome Indie Rock Links
Wow, what a summer, the number of visitors to Indie Rock Cafe and the affiliate websites has steadily climbed for weeks now thanks in part to your emails, word-of-mouth and contributions. (photo, left: The Editors)
For those of you who have asked why there is not more content here on IRS, the answer is straight forward: IndieRockSongs is still getting started, and there are a lot of great and cutting-edge goodies coming soon (based on research of visitor preferences from data collected off IRC and affiliated websites - linked below), so keep sending your suggestions and comments.
This website belongs to you - the indie rockers of the world - so make sure to check back as the site grows and stay in the know on the greatest and latest in:
- indie and alternative rock news
- indie and alternative rock videos
- free indie and alternative rock MP3s
- links to popular indie and alt rock songs, streams, websites, MySpace pages, YouTube videos and more!
- reviews of the hottest new indie and alternative rock CD/album releases
- you can build your blog, park a web page and take advantage of your own email and playlist services on your own subdomain (for example, http://indierockgal07.indierocksongs.com/ or whatever you choose) - just like MySpace but with a better design and navigation.
- musicians and bands can create the own music web page, upload photos, playlists and add videos to promote their music to a growing audience of music lovers at every corner of the globe (well they are not technically corners, but...)
- create a profile and make new friends by sharing your music interests with other people who like the same music as you
Each one of you are an integral part of the Indie Rock Songs website and extended global network, so get involved and make sure to keep checking back as the site develops.
Also, you can view concert and festival rock videos and produced music videos from YouTube, MySpace and bands' official websites.
There are more indie and alternative rock postings, profiles, free MP3s, album and concert reviews and more at Indie Rock Cafe (the "mothership") and Indie Rock Concerts.
In the works for this website in the coming months:
- regular updates on the most popular indie and alternative rock songs and music videos
- direct links for lyric sites, fan sites, free MP3 downloads, Podcasts, playlists and more!
- more concert videos and live MP3 tracks
- ticket information, venues and top MP3 download sites
- more indie rock and pop podcasts, plus a weekly Top 20 countdown (of mostly new indie, but some classics thrown in for more flava)
- contributions from you and other visitors and regular readers
- exclusive premiers of up and coming indie and alternative rock bands
- artist profiles, MySpace pages, official artist and band websites and links to record labels
To give you an idea of what kind of music, MP3s, music videos and artist profiles we will feature in coming months, here are just a few of the indie artists and bands we like and have covered before and will keep you updated on in the future:
UK rockers Bloc Party, Canadian indie rock sensation Arcade Fire, Built to Spill, Modest Mouse, TV on the Radio, the jolting tunes of The Fratellis, Daft Punk, Rage Against the Machine, the thoughtful genius of The Shins and a band from Scotland that are likely to be the 'next big thing': Arctic Monkeys - Amazon.com voted their 2006 CD the best of the year.
Other favorite artists include The Editors, crackling riffs of My Morning Jacket, The Starting Line, American Hi-Fi, Spoon, The View, Pavement, Metric, the edgy post-punk/neo-gothic Interpol, OK Go, Snow Patrol, Razorlight and many more.
More Sick Clicks:
- View music videos from Lollapalooza 2007, the official schedule, photo galleries and more.
- One Pumpkin Doesn't Make Smashing Pumpkins
- See other upcoming festivals and sign up for the IndieFeed to get all the latest about rock concerts and festivals throughout the year.
- Learn about the beautiful, spunky and talented Mia Rose. In the past nine months (thanks in part to IRC's profile of her last January), Mia Rose has become an international sensation and top YouTube search query. Judging from our traffic stats alone, there is great interest in Mia Rose from around the world. See her perform now.
- View popular postings about Snow Patrol, The Fray, The Killers and the relatively new indie music phenomenon, Islands.
Write us with any comments, suggestions or questions about the website and what we are planning to do with the entire IRC network of indie rock websites (Coming soon: indierockfestivals.com and myspacemusicawards.com, youtubemusicvideoawards.com and more!).
